The view from the Kongma La (5535m) was excellent. To the east is Chomolonzo, Kangchungtse. Cho Polu, Island Peak, Makalu, Baruntse, P6770, Chamlang. The descent from the Kongma La towards Chukung passes the large lake and then descends to the valley floor after 90 minutes.
